The Army is divided into seven Brigades, usually known as Tertios, each made up of between four and six Regiments. There is one independant unit, Prince Rupert's Lifeguard of Horse, serving under the direct command of the Lord General. The Scots Brigade, whilst administratively coming under the Royalist Army, fights for either side depending on what part of the civil wars we are re-enacting.
The Army is headed by the Lord General. He is assisted by his Staff, who range from the Chief of Staff to humble runners.
You may also see King Charles I commanding the Army at some battles.
